Begin your trek through lush rainforest, encountering colobus monkeys and exotic birds. Arrive at Mandara Hut after a 4\u20135 hour walk. Relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in mountain huts.<\/p><p><strong>Day 2: Mandara Hut \u2013 Horombo Hut (3,720 m)<\/strong><\/p><p>Continue trekking through rainforest and then transition into moorland. You\u2019ll have panoramic views of Mawenzi and, on clear days, Kibo Peak. Reach Horombo Hut after a 5\u20136 hour hike. Enjoy a hearty meal and rest in the comfortable hut.<\/p><p><strong>Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut<\/strong><\/p><p>Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Optional hike to Zebra Rocks (3,980 m) or toward Mawenzi Hut to aid acclimatization. Return to Horombo Hut for meals and overnight.<\/p><p><strong>Day 4: Horombo Hut \u2013 Kibo Hut (4,703 m)<\/strong><\/p><p>Ascend through alpine desert toward Kibo Hut, passing the Last Water Point. The trek takes 5\u20136 hours. Upon arrival, rest and prepare for the early morning summit attempt. Early dinner and early bedtime.<\/p><p><strong>Day 5: Kibo Hut \u2013 Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) \u2013 Horombo Hut<\/strong><\/p><p>Begin the summit attempt around midnight. Climb through the dark using headlamps, reaching Gilman\u2019s Point (5,685 m) at sunrise. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate and take photos, then begin the descent to Kibo for a short rest. Continue to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.<\/p><p><strong>Day 6: Horombo Hut \u2013 Marangu Gate \u2013 Return to Moshi\/Arusha<\/strong><\/p><p>After breakfast, descend through moorland and rainforest back to Marangu Gate. Sign out and receive your summit certificates.
